Christmas is a time of celebration and festive that is being celebrated by many people around the world. Since there are various kind of religions, races, ethnicity, or even countries, the ways of people celebrating it also different and vibrant in other place and other part of the world according to their traditions and customs. Here are some unique traditions of Christmas in different countries:-

#1 Christmas in Japan

While many people love to eat Turkey or homemade chicken dinner during Christmas, Japanese people likes to eat KFC. Yes, the Colonel Sanders fried chicken. Christmas in Japan is considered as a holiday for lovers rather than the time to spend or gather with the family and they often treat themselves to a bucket of KFC fried chicken as their traditional Christmas meal.








#2 Christmas in Greece

As a Greek Orthodox nation and visiting the church services for Christmas, people in Greece do some ritual to ward off evil goblin that sneak into their houses through the chimney to steal. The rituals involves sprinkling holy water from a basil-wrapped cross and keeping their fires burning. Besides that, many Greek cities hold an event - the Night of Wishes - to gather people to make wishes and release paper lanterns in the sky. 














#3 Christmas in Australia

In most countries, Christmas is know to be celebrated in winter and in a snowy atmosphere. However, December in Australia is a summer month so most of Australians bathed in the pleasantly warn weather during the holidays. Aussies mostly celebrate their Christmas with a barbecue in the beach with their family and friends gobbling down the seafoods before playing a game of cricket or taking a dip in the ocean.
