Eric Garcia to Barca in 2021

Eric Garcia Matret, a Spanish 2001 born centre back has a total agreement to join FC Barcelona on this new year. Eric contract is going to expire next June but Barcelona have reacherd an agreement on personal terms for 5 years with Garcia. He is coming back to the club where he grew up. 

The agreement is almost ready to sign Garcia as a free agent next summer. Barcelona can try to anticipate the deal in January but they need to negotiate with Manchester City. Last summer Barcelona offered 10 million Euro to sign Garcia immediately but Manchester City refused the deal. 

Manchester City made many attempts to convince him to stay and extend his contract. The club manager Pep Guardiola was also trying to convince him in every way but Eric Garcia wants to join the spain giants, Barcelona.

The move is close but the contract is not signed yet just because it can be done only when the new Barcelona president will be elected. The agreement has been reached with Garcia and his agents, only a possible change in planning by the new Barcelona president could change the success of the deal.
