 Merry Merry Christmas VS The Gift, which song was better?

It has been a year since the Sidemen released two Christmas songs. Merry Merry Christmas which Ethan, Harry and Vik performed featuring JME and LayZ and another song performed by JJ, Simon, Tobi, and Josh featuring UK top 10 artist, S-X titled The Gift.

In a Sidemen Sunday video released on 16th December 2019 titled 'SIDEMEN MAKE A SONG IN 24 HOURS CHALLENGE', They were split into two groups and which the members of the two different team I mentioned earlier, and challenge themselves to make a song in 24-Hours but it eventually took them only 6 hours.

In the early stages of the video, JJ stated that the team with the most views on YouTube comes Christmas day 2019 wins the challenge. Both music videos were posted on the Sidemen's second channel called 'MoreSidemen'. The winner of the challenge was Merry Merry Christmas song with 10 million views with The Gift just short of 3k views, reached 9.7 views.

I enjoy listening to both up to this day, because each song has their own type beat, and lyrical flows but one thing in common for both songs is they are dissing each other. For example, in Merry Merry Christmas, Harry said JJ is bad at math and in The Gift, Simon said that Ethan likes father Christmas because his biological dad was never around. 

The Gift

For me personally, I like Merry Merry Christmas more than The Gift. The Gift is great, with Tobi spraying rap lyrics like he released more than 10 Music and S-X's part where he sang the chorus is melodic but Merry Merry Christmas got that extra sizzle to it with Ethan's part was banging, his rap was better than back when they are dissing each other with their whole heart. Harry is being Harry with his comedic lyrics and JME's part was too good to ignore.

Merry Merry Christmas still leading on views on YouTube. As the time I am writing this article, Merry Merry Christmas is on 24 million views and The Gift is on 21 million views. From 3k to 3 mill differential, geez,  talk about minding the gap.

  New government guidance issued to Premier League clubs means players and staff returning from away fixtures in Europe will need to isolate for 10 days.
