Why u should eat banana

Greetings my friends, how are you? It’s been great hasn’t it? Imagine, I’d like you to picture it in your mind, if you are only given a chance to eat not 2 or 5 or 10, but 1, only 1 kind of food in this world, what food would it be in order for you to go through this hard life? I got hints for you. Yellow, curvy skin, sweet tastes, nutritious, squishy inside, slippery outside, edible. What do you think I’m describing about? Correct! It's a banana.

If you think bananas are just for monkeys, think again. As we all know, bananas are sweets and tasty. But do you know there are a lot more reasons to eat bananas. Did you know eating just 1 banana can increases immunity? And that is what I wanted to talk about, the benefits of bananas to us, humans.

1. Banana helps brain function properly
With an excellent source of potassium inside, bananas helps deliver oxygen to the brain to keep our mind sharp. The magnesium in bananas promotes proper electrical activity between nerve cells in the brain. Also, magnesium helps the brain dispose the waste byproduct of protein metabolism, ammonia. According to studies done by The Franklin Institute, by reducing the brain’s ammonia levels, magnesium improves our ability to focus. This will be beneficial to people who eat banana, especially students because the high levels of magnesium will help us to improve our ability to focus while studying by making us more alert.

2. Mood booster

Bananas can be categorized as a great ‘mood-food’ as they help our brain produce chemicals that promote good mental health. Bananas are a rich source of both vitamin B6 and carbohydrates. Studies said bananas help overcome depression due to high levels of tryptophan, which is converted into serotonin – the happy-mood brain neurotransmitter. Eating banana also improve your mood and reduce PMS symptoms, which regulates blood sugar and produces stress-relieving relaxation including preventing depression and providing feelings of pleasure.

3. A cure to diseases

Bananas are high in antioxidants that provide protection from free radicals and chronic disease. As example, eating bananas will help prevent kidney cancer, protects the eyes from severe vision loss and builds strong bones by increasing calcium absorption. Bananas may be helpful in preventing kidney cancer because of their high levels of antioxidant phenolic compounds. Study found that women who ate more than 75 servings of fruits and vegetables cut their risk of kidney cancer by 40 percent, and that bananas are especially effective. Bananas contain a small but significant amount of vitamin A, which is essential for protecting your eyes, maintaining normal vision and improving vision at night. About the increasing calcium absorption in our body, according to an article in 2009, bananas contain an abundance of fructooligosaccharides. These are non-digestive carbohydrates that encourage digestive-friendly probiotics and enhance the body’s ability to absorb calcium

When you eat bananas, you’ve received the gift of life. As I said, bananas makes you smarter, activate happy-mood transmitter in your brain and bananas can even cure diseases. Just keep in mind, bananas aren’t just for monkeys. Banana is important to all of us. Because life without bananas is nothing and banana is life, life is banana.
