Marine 0 - 5 Mourinho

Tottenham Hotspur ran an easy winner in a match against an 8th tier club Marine AFC. The biggest gap in history in 149th year of the FA Cup.

The Merseyside based club Marine AFC faced Tottenham Hotspur yesterday at their home ground that surrounded by houses Rossett Park. 

Marine who currently plays in the Northern Premier League Division One North West sold 30,697 virtual tickets pre-match as they recorded their highest ever tickets sale.

Going into the match, Jose Mourinho stated that they are going to give huge amount of respect to Marine by beating them. Mourinho further explain that by showing full strength and quality is showing respect. He named a strong lined-up with Toby Alderweireld, Moussa Sissoko, Lucas Moura, Dele Alli played in the first half.

The game saw Carlos Vinicius scored his first hat-trick for Tottenham in the first half with Lucas Moura adding the scoreline to 4-0 with a delicious free-kick. Even the commentator said that no goalkeeper could have saved that free-kick.

Second-half saw a 16-year-old debutant for Spurs Alfie Devine scored the fifth goal and becoming Spurs youngest ever goal-scorer in the history of the club.

Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilón made a short appearance towards the end of the game. Imagine you're a Marine player and you can say you played against ex-players of Real Madrid. Mental.

It was good game overall with residence around that area made their noises heard with blowing their air-horns, and cheering on for the mighty Marines.

They could not swap match worn shirts with opposite team as they complied with the guidelines to curb the COVID-19 spread but Tottenham Hotspur made a great gesture to supply them with fresh kits as a souvenirs for the Marine players.
