Pursuit of Portraits Visits Malaysia

 Pursuit of Portraits (PoP) is a New York City-based agency that connects a community of global creators via curated experiences, brand activations, shared narratives, content creation and community building. Founder, Saunak Shah said that they have helped launch brands to acquire new customers, delivered world class campaign assets for our strategic partners and clients, and hosted co-branded events. Their services include scouting talent, influencer-driven campaigns, launch activations, crowdsourced content, photo shoots, Instagram-driven promotions, and features to community building efforts.

On 13th of January 2018 Pursuit of Portraits came to Malaysia as a part of their first global pursuits which they eventually will visit 15+ countries across 4 continents. I personally went to that event as I wanted to gain photography experience and socialize myself with local and foreign photographers. Famous local photographers such as Faliq Fahmie, Fitri Ramly etc. made appearance there as they also did not want to miss this golden opportunity.

Guest Model who were invited were Gloria Memur etc. Also, presence on that day was local instafamous Siti Khadijah Halim where she showed her talented modelling skills on that very day. The event commenced when clock strikes 4 in the afternoon where all photographers and models took a photo walk. The event finished around 6 P.M and it was legit a tiring yet wonderful experience.

I did not get the chance to be there the second time they hold a meet-up on 2nd September 2019 though, but from what I heard from my photo colleagues that it was fun and exciting as the first one. I hope they would come again to our beautiful country for a third post-COVID 19.
